The College offers a wide range of courses to domestic students (excluding those under the International student visa subclass 500). Depending on your residential status, you can enrol as a NSW government-funded Smart and Skilled student or a fee-for-service student.

Smart and Skilled Program: Currently, UPC offers six qualifications under the Apprentice and Traineeship program to eligible new workers employed in a related field in the State of New South Wales.

Fee-for-Service: If you are not eligible for the Smart and Skilled program or if you wish to enrol in a course not covered by the Smart and Skilled program, you can enrol as a fee-for-service student.

 

 Smart and Skilled Program (SSP)  

The Smart and Skilled Program is jointly funded by the Commonwealth and NSW Governments to help NSW residents gain the skills they need to find a job and/or advance their careers. Selected courses are available at public NSW TAFE and various government-appointed private colleges. Training under the Smart and Skilled Program is managed by the NSW Department of Education and Training and is subsidized by both governments. Subsidized tuition fees are the same whether you study at TAFE or at any government-selected colleges, such as UPC.

 

COURSES OFFERED

UPC College (Sydney Campus) offers the following six qualifications to learners under the Apprentice and Traineeship Program (Workplace delivery mode only):
  • Over 15 years old
  • Having left school
  • Living or working in NSW; and
  • An Australian or NZ citizen, a permanent resident or a humanitarian/refugee visa holder.To qualify for traineeship funding, you must have started the job within the past 6 months for full-time position or within the past 12 months for part-time position.

FEE-FOR-SERVICE PROGRAM The Fee-for-Service Program offers affordable tuition fees to domestic students who are not eligible for government funding or those wishing to enrol in non-government-funded courses. This student cohort includes temporary visa holders such as:
  • Individuals waiting for permanent residency.
  • Working holiday makers (limited to 16 weeks of part-time study, with no restrictions on online study).
