GOVERNMENT-FUND SMART & SKILLED PROGRAM
Smart and Skilled program is the NSW Government’s initiative aiming to upskill the workforce in priority areas to support the State economy growth.
Visa eligibility: The traineeship program is open to Australian and NZ citizens, Australian permanent residents, and humanitarian visa holders or asylum seekers. Extended visa eligibility: From 18th February 2022, the Government relaxed the visa conditions, making 25 temporary visa categories eligible for the traineeship program (conditions apply).
Living or working status: You should be living or working in NSW.
Employment condition: The traineeship program is only eligible to new employees who start employment within 3 months for a full-time employee and 12 months for a part-timer.
