The Australian higher education regulator – the Tertiary Education Quality and Standard Agency (TEQSA), has commenced Federal Court proceedings to block access to the website Assignmenthelp4you.com by Australian students.

The action is the first time that TEQSA has exercised its power under the amendments made by the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Amendment (Prohibiting Academic Cheating Services) Act 2020.

TEQSA is seeking an injunction requiring 51 internet service providers to take such steps as the Court considers reasonable to disable access to the website.

Assignmenthelp4you.com is one of many websites where university students can hire people to do their homework and assignments, write their reports and even research papers.

Those cheating services are popular and of high demand amongst students from rich families, particularly from Asian countries. Closing down those kinds of services will not only maintain quality of the Australian education system but also bring fairness to many hardworking students.
