On Thursday 8th February 2024 (Week 2, Term 1, 2024), the UPC community hosted a bright and auspicious Lunar New Year event! With many students far from home, the Lunar New Year is a bittersweet time for them and their families – as a result, UPC’s annual Lunar New Year celebrations aim to act as both an enjoyable event, but also as a reassuring and optimistic message of culture and family for our students. This year, the year of the Dragon, our school community had embraced themes of kindness and success alongside bravery and power to pass on to our community!
UPC students happily involved in fun activities such as Lunar New Year – Acting games, Lucky chair, Simon said – the edited version referring to Lunar New Year animals, and Lunar New Year Trivia Questions. They were even happier when being “a red envelop” and thousands of best wishes for a new year.
