14th November 2019,
It was a fun privilege for our English and Childcare students to enjoy an excursion day at Featherdale Wildlife Park, and all the more because of the train and bus trips. From this visit, students have experienced a lot about Australian native animals and how the keepers look after them on daily basis. During the lesson time, everyone was allowed personal touch with a shingleback lizard, an 11-month old wallaby and a children’s python. There was so much fun listening to the zookeeper’s talk about the interesting facts and knowledge of them. A lot of us were also amazed by the cute little penguins and how they were fed. All attending students have definitely got the importance of wildlife to our world and how hard the wildlife carers have rescued and protected endangered animals from the deteriorating habitats.
