UPC College proudly launches its 2024-25 campaign for the NSW Government-funded Smart & Skilled traineeship program, offering six sought-after qualifications in areas of childcare, ageing and disability support, business, and leadership & management.
The Smart & Skilled Program (SSP) is a reform initiative of the NSW Vocational Education and Training (VET) system, designed to equip NSW residents with skills to secure employment or advance in their careers. Under SSP, tuition is subsidised by the NSW Government, with standardised fees across NSW TAFE and approved private providers like UPC College. All qualifications offered are nationally recognised.
To enrol in an SSP traineeship course, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Reside or work in NSW, and
- Be an Australian or NZ citizen, a permanent resident, or a holder of a humanitarian visa or asylum seeker status, and
- Be within the first 3 months of commencing full-time or 12 months of part-time employment with an employer, or within 3 months of completing a prerequisite qualification program.
UPC College offers the following courses:
- CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
- CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
- CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support
- CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability Support
- BSB40120 Certificate IV in Business
- BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Management
Enrol by June 30, 2025 to receive fully subsidised tuition, covered by the NSW Government.
