The current Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak is a very serious problem, not only to China but essentially to the whole world.
Thousands of people have died, more are dying and even more suffering in a way or another. We have to be on guard with the greatest concern.
UPC will continue to monitor the outbreak closely and keep our students, staff, stakeholders and to some extent our community, better informed.
Let’s treat the official information as an indicative. As on 16th February 2020,
- The Australian Government has decided to extend the travel restriction to all non-Australian resident travellers from China for another week (until 22nd February 2020) and will review the decision weekly.
- The Cambodian Government, on Thursday 13th February, allowed the Westerdam cruise ship to dock its port so that the passesngers could disembark after four countries (Japan, Taiwan, Thailand and Guam, part of the U.S.) have refused to do so.
- The World Health Organisation (WHO) announced that the Chinese Government has agreed to work with it to investigate the Coronavirus outbreak together.
